The project officer will be resopnsible for implementation of freshwater ecosystem project focusing on gharial in Chitwan National Park and its Buffer Zone and uplifting socioeconomic well being of indigenous and marginalised local communities. S/he will lead on planning for research, conservation education and awarness activities and liaise with relevant partners. S/he will also be responsible for strengthening community based anti-poaching activities, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and liaising with donor agencies for various HN projects. S/he will be responsible for planning and developing proposals on biodiversity and nature conservation issue. The position will require frequent travelling to HN project sites.
The key objective of this role is community mobilisation, conducting community surveys and other activities to the project site and as per project activities, s/he should actively support in field monitoring, trainings, workshops, data collection and entry, reporting, community level coordination and other necessary community mobilisation work based on projects needs.
