How does personal health describe to community health?

Community health is a field of public health that focuses on inquiring, preserving or developing health within a community. It does not focus on a group of people with the same shared components, like age or judgment, but on all personalities within a geographical situation or associated in a particular activity.

Community health includes a broad range of healthcare services, including health promotion, disease prevention, and processing. It also requires management and administration of care.

The relationships between personal and community health are thus interrelated in many ways. If we wish to be healthy personally, we cannot avoid the health of the community. In the current pandemic spread of coronavirus (COVID19), we have realized this the most. Currently, all the world and the communities are trying to fight the disease by maintaining social isolation and promoting personal and community health, disease prevention and treatment, health management which can help to build up a healthy community and protect us from the viruses.

Here is some measure that we being a part of this community can follow to promote personal and community health and not to spread more coronaviruses (COVID-19). Basic protective measures against the coronavirus are:

  • Wash your hand repeatedly

Habitually and completely wash your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wipe them with soap and water and use sanitizer frequently.

  • Maintain social distance

When someone coughs or sneezes, they diffuse small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may include the virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the virus.

  • Avoid touching nose, mouth, eyes

Hands touch brings multiple surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once affected, hands can carry the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick, as well as infected many people.

  • Habit respiratory hygiene

Make sure you, and the personalities nearby you, develop good respiratory cleanliness. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue, wear a mask or carry scarf when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue quickly. If you have a fever, cough and struggle to breathe, seek preventive care. Stay at home and make yourself safe and other people too.

  • Follow the directions of your local health authority

Stay notified and understand the information given by your healthcare provider. National and district authorities will have the most up to date message on whether COVID-19 is expanding in your area. They are best placed to guide on what people in your area should be doing to protect themselves.

  • Challenge

There is a very high probability of a "community-transmission" of the coronavirus in Nepal. It is unclear how many people in Nepal are diagnosed with the coronavirus. Nepal has no resources to tackle coronavirus symptomatic abilities and the health care system will be unable to cope with a large explosion.

  • Solution

All of the members of the community should take preventive measures to stop or delay the explosion of the coronavirus for those who are at the highest risk.

  • Long-Term Impact

In the long run, if not properly checked in, this disease could affect a lot of people in a very short span of time. There could be inevitable consequences if people do not follow the rules and regulation set by the government and the health authorities
