Coronaviruses (CoV) are a huge family of viruses that cause illness reaching from the common cold to more critical diseases such as (MERS-CoV) Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). Normally, the signs of virus involve respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties, etc. In severe cases, the virus can cause pneumonia, serious respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.

COVID-19 is a part of coronavirus that has affected the major parts of the world in a short span of time. China has seen the first massive case of COVID-19 spread since the turn of 2020.

Let’s discuss COVID-19 and how you can deal with it effectively.

What is coronavirus?

Coronaviruses are a group of a huge number of viruses. There are many different kinds, and some cause illness. A newly identified strain has caused a recent explosion of respiratory illness now called “COVID-19“that started in China. A research team has found COVID-19 to be in resemblance to a type of coronavirus transmitted from bats. The genome sequencing of the novel coronavirus is as high as 96 percent identical with that strain, the team said, adding that the new coronavirus enters the receptor using the same cells with the SARS virus.

“The spread of this new coronavirus is being monitored by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization and health organizations like John Hopkins across the globe. On Jan. 30, the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a public health emergency” ‘WHO’.
